The information and documents required for applying Business Visa

Applicants can apply either for E-Visa online or Physical Paper Visa with the Embassy of India, Bogota

Important Instructions

* The Passport of the traveler should have the validity of at least 6 months from the date of arrival in India and should contain at least two blank pages  for stamping by the immigration officer.

* The applicant must travel on the Passport with which he/she has applied for e-Visa. Entry will be allowed into India on the new Passport even if ETA has been issued on the old Passport, however, in such cases, he/she must carry the old Passport on which ETA was issued.

* The e-Visa is completely controlled by the authorities in India and Embassy has no control over the visa issuance process, so for any queries regarding e-Visa applicants are requested to please contact the support team directly, the details of the same are given as below

Procedure for Physical Paper Visa with the Embassy of India, Bogota:

List of documents required: 

    1. The Original passport with a minimum validity of one (1) Year with at least three continuous blank pages and a copy 
    2. Duly filled application form with signatures and photo uploaded. White background photo uploaded into the system. White background photo 5x5cm pasted to the form. It has to be signed on both pages (in the 2 spaces required) (On-line application form)
    3. Letter of Invitation from the company in India. The letter should have complete address, signature of representative, email Id and contact phone number.
    4. Submit all or at least one of the following documents from Indian company: Certificate of Incorporation, Registration Under companies Act, Proof of registration under State Industrial Department, Export Promotion Council
    5. Letter from Colombian company, indicating the applicant's designation, along with the duration and purpose of the visit to India.
    6. Personal bank statements of the past three months with a minimum balance of $ 6,000,000 COP for Colombian nationals / USD 2000 in case of Ecuador nationals.
    7. In case, your company/spouse/parents will be responsible for your expenses, please attach a notarize letter stating responsibility for trip expenses along with the copy of the company registration, marriage certificate/ birth register and the bank statements of the person/company sponsoring the trip.
    8. Flight reservation/itinerary or copy of air ticket.
    9. Copy of International Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. People traveling to India must present their International Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate irrespective of the age (only children below 6 months are exempted). This certificate can be current or expired. Not having this requirement exposes the Applicant to be returned or quarantined in a health center. The Embassy of India will not be responsible in case some person is detained by the Migratory Authorities due to lack of Yellow Fever Vaccination certificate. No letters from Doctors/organizations recommending for such exemptions are entertained.

    11. Applicant with dual nationality must attach copy of the non- applying passport (Please note that the applicant can choose the passport to apply with)
    12. Original bank deposit slip, not transfer
    13. To return Passport outside Bogotá, Applicants have to deposit additional fee and make a note with the address (including ZIP code http://codigopostal.gov.co/ for Colombia / www.codigopostal.gob.ec for Ecuador) to which Applicants want to get their passport back. (Due to COVID applications for all services are being accepted/sent only through DHL, so everyone has to pay for DHL separately) 
    14. For Business (B-3 Sports) Visa : In respect of all International Sports Events, the organizer shall submit the proposal for holding the International Sports Event to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports for prior clearance.
      Visas to the participants of such events will be issued only on production of the requisite clearance from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

COLOMBIAN AND ECUADORIAN CITIZENS APPLYING FOR 5 YEAR VISA

The Colombian and Ecuadorian tourists and Businessmen can apply for long term visa up to 5 years. Such applicants will have to pay different fees and also should come personally at the Embassy in Bogota for giving their biometrics/fingerprints. The rest of requirements are same.

DHL(optional): Need to pay DHL/Courier charges in case if the applicants want the Embassy to send bank the documents/Passports through courier.
