With the introduction of Machine Readable Passports, no additional booklet in lieu of old passport will be issued.  However, in case of emergency travel a short validity passport for one year will be issued pending the processing of Machine Readable Passport.

All applicants whose passport pages are going to exhaust, may now apply for fresh passport for 10 year or 5 year validity as the case may be.  Requirements/ Procedure for fresh passport are available in the beginning of Passport Services page. The new passport will be valid for 10 years from the date of Issue.
