About Us Information Regarding Visas

All visitors from India holding a visa for Colombia of more than three months duration, except the tourist or temporary visitor visa (Visitante temporal) are required to register with Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad DAS (National Security Department) of the Government of Colombia within fifteen days of arrival in Colombia on their first visit.  Thereafter thay can come and go freely.  This requirement is mandatory. Such visitors must therefore come prepared for registration which may take about half a day after which a Foreigner's Identity Card would be issued for the duration of the visa and is a one time proceedure.  The exact fees and other requirements for this registration may be ascertained from the Colombian Embassy at the time of obtaining the visa.
