Five languages have been declared as Classical Languages by the Government of India.
Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Pali and Prakrit were included because of their antiquity, originality and heritage they represent.

Cinco lenguas han sido declaradas como lenguas clásicas por el Gobierno de la India.
El Asamés, Bengalí, Marathi, Pali y el Prakrit fueron incluidos por su antigüedad, originalidad y patrimonio que representan.
