Dr. Vinod Bahade
Ambassador of India to Colombia

Dr. Vinod Bahade belongs to 2007 batch of Indian Foreign Service. Since joining the service, he has served in various capacities both at New Delhi as well as abroad. His overseas assignments include serving as Third Secretary at the Embassy of India, Hanoi; Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of India, Sydney; First Secretary/Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of India, Cairo; and Counsellor/Minister (Economic/Education) & Head of Chancery at the Embassy of India, Washington DC.
 
While in New Delhi, he served as Under Secretary in Central Europe Division and Director in Economic Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs. He was also posted on deputation to the Ministry of Steel as Director handling International Cooperation and other matters. Prior to joining as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Colombia, he was serving as Joint Secretary (Counter Terrorism) in the Ministry of External Affairs.

  He is a medical graduate by education.
