Embassy of India in Bogota to Celebrate 11th Ayurveda Day on 23 September 2026

The Embassy of India in Bogota, in association with Asociación Amigos de India Colombia, will organise a special programme to mark the 11th Ayurveda Day on 23 September 2026 at the Auditorium of the Embassy of India in Bogota.

The programme, being organised under the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow”, will focus on the broader vision of Ayurveda and its relevance to contemporary health and well-being. The event will explore the theme “One Health, One Future: Integrating Ayurveda Science through Evidence, Innovation and Holistic Care.”
The programme will be held in the presence of Dr. Vinod Bahade, Ambassador of India to Colombia, and will feature a panel discussion bringing together practitioners and experts in Ayurveda and related fields. The panel will include Dr. Jeffrin F. Kakkassery (MD Ayurveda, Prana), Dra. Luisa Fernanda Cubillos (MD Ayurveda, Ayuranda), Dra. Trinidad Plata (MD Ayurveda), and Cons. Shindra Ji (Ayurvedic Consultant).
The panel discussion will provide an opportunity to examine Ayurveda's holistic approach to health, its traditional knowledge systems, and the growing relevance of preventive and integrative approaches to health and well-being. Discussions will also highlight the importance of research, evidence and innovation in strengthening the understanding and contemporary application of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda, India's traditional system of holistic health and well-being, places emphasis on maintaining balance between the body, mind and environment. Its focus on preventive health, healthy living and harmony with nature has attracted growing interest internationally, including in Colombia.
The Embassy of India has been promoting awareness and appreciation of Ayurveda in Colombia through various activities and collaborations with Colombian institutions and practitioners. The Ayurveda Day programme is part of these ongoing efforts to deepen people-to-people and knowledge exchanges between India and Colombia.
