Registration of Newly born baby in Colombia and Ecuador as an Indian Citizen

Registration of the newly born baby at the Embassy in Colombia and Ecuador, you may follow these requirements:

A. Fill out Online Application form for Miscellaneous Consular Indian Services:

i. Select as Country, Colombia (for both Ecuador and Colombia residents).

ii. Select as Mission, Colombia-Bogota (for both Ecuador and Colombia residents).

Bring to Embassy of India in Bogota (10 to 12 hrs only) or send via courier the following documents:

Printed online application (signed by both the parents)
Miscellaneous services application
Birth certificate: BORN ALIVE Certificate (Do not register the baby in the Notary, as this will automatically give the nationality of that country)
Marriage certificate plus self attested copy of both parent's passports.
Letter explaining/soliciting the consular service. Include contact detailed information (email, home address WITH Código Postal www.codigopostal.gov.co, mobile number).
Proof of residency in Colombia (Copy of any public service bill of residence or any proof of the permanent residence that has to match with the one written in the miscellaneous application form)
Proof of address in India, can be a public service receipt and also attach Aadhar, PAN Card, Driver's license of parents
Submit 3 colored, passport size photographs (5cm X 5cm) of the baby.
