Bharat International Rice Conference 2026 (BIRC 2026)

The Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), the national apex body for rice exporters headquartered in Connaught Place, New Delhi, is organizing the Bharat International Rice Conference 2026 (BIRC 2026), from 23 to 25 October 2026, Hall Nos. 4 & 5, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, India.

The experience will be of a premium nature, with a VIP business lounge and 9 curated experience zones. The initiative seeks to strengthen international trade linkages and promote technology transfer.

The BIRC 2026 is projected as a larger-scale edition, almost three times bigger than that of 2025, with an estimated participation of 30,000 people during the business days. The event will feature an expanded international reach, bringing together delegates from more than 120 countries. Likewise, it will include a consumer outreach component through a food festival on its third day, aimed at 500,000 affluent households.

The BIRC 2025 was consolidated as the largest global rice sector conference, with 10,854 visitors and 1,083 international buyers from more than 90 countries. The event generated a trade value of INR 33,453 crore (USD 3.02 billion), equivalent to 8.83 million metric tons. Each exhibitor achieved an average of USD 19.60 million in business, reflecting its strong commercial impact. Likewise, it reached 16.9 crore digital impressions and a 118-fold public relations return. It had high-level institutional participation, including Government of India ministries, state governments, APEDA, ICAR, IRRI, EY, and strategic partners. The IREF represents more than 8,000 entities across the rice export value chain in India, and according to the EY report, the BIRC 2025 was the largest rice conference in the world in terms of scale and participation.
